IWS #137: World Cup Edition

I’m With Stupid #137: World Cup Edition - MIJB#19, I feel for you, so here is one you can do! Hopefully those without any soccer knowledge will have a chance because of the format of IWS and the quirky questions. Good Luck to All!

1. Name the World Cup Winner.

2. Name an underrated player.

3. Name a high-profile team that doesn’t make it out of the group stage.

4. Name a food spectators will eat.

5. Name a team that will make an unexpected run.

6. Name the country playing in the finals that has the best looking women.

Submit answers via PM by 5:00 PM, June 1.

Also, if anyone can send me the scoring spreadsheet, I would very much appreciate it. Mention it in your PM

The Rules (copied from IWS #136)

The rules are the same as previous FOFC “I’m With Stupid" Contests, as set forth by the game’s honored and cherished founding fathers.

The object of this contest is to answer the questions posted, and to provide the most common answer among those submitted. For each question, your score will be equal to the number of people who submitted that response. Your score for the contest will be the product of your individual question scores. Highest score wins.

No collaborating in any way. No posting your answers to this board, nor sharing them by e-mail or in any other way with other potential contestants.

All determinations of "matches" and anything else requiring judgment fall to that of the sole administrator of this round of the game, me. You can reduce the need for doubt and judgment by properly spelling your submissions, being clear, and that sort of thing. My decisions are final and inarguable.

Any references that are unclear to you, due to language or geography, should be understood to be authored from the perspective of an English-speaking American college graduate. However...

Your answers do not necessarily have to be technically correct in order to score points. If I ask "who is the greatest band in rock and roll history” and you and three others somehow respond The Beatles, you will score 4 points – even though the correct response is "The Doors".

That's the one thing I always try to keep in my mind when thinking up some answers that will bring me unintended last places.

I don't know the source of that quote, but european football is not very socialist if you ask me. The relegation, money spent to win, ect. would be very much against socialist theory.

It was a jack kemp quote about the world cup. The national teams more specifically.
