Female Advice

Let me start out by saying I've read this board for years, but never posted. In that time I've come to have a high respect for the various viewpoints and opinions of the posters.

My problem is this, I've been with a girl for a little over 2 years now. Im 20 and she's 17. We had a little argument and broke up a month or so ago. Yet recently we've gotten back together and see each other in secret. During the time off it made us both realize just how great the other one was and we came back appreciating each other more than ever. This girl's mom does not want her to see me, not because I'm a bad guy, but rather because the mom has nothing better to do than live vicariously through her daughter and wants to be able to brag to her middle aged friends about who her daughter is dating, and I guess I just don't make that exciting of a story anymore. She threatens her daughter to not see me and stuff like that. I could understand if I was a bad guy or mean to her but I've always treated her so well. Her daughter loves me very much and I love her very much. I've always been a gentlemen to her and treated her above and beyond what most guys do for their girl. Anyway we're trying to figure out a way to break it to her mom without her getting in too much trouble, and not being able to see me ever again. Yes I do realize that we can't keep it secret forever. I was just wondering if maybe any of you guys have been in similar situations and have some sort of advice or helpful insight. Her and I have a really special connection and I don't want to lose that because of her mother. Any advice at all would be much appreciated and if u need more info just let me know,,,,Thanks!!

What's the legal age of consent. Not sure you would want to piss mom off when you could get a statuatory rape charge. 18 and 15.....that's warning bells for a relationship right there.

I know,,,Its not really about that anyway. Its just one of those things where I met this girl when I was a little under 18, and we fell for each other. I always keep in mind, if I had a daughter how would I want the guy dating her to treat her. My intentions are perfectly honorable. I used to be pretty tight with the mom anyway, but she just got bored of me I guess.

It wasn't really a break up. It was just kind of one of those time apart things. We kind of just needed to take a step back and see what we wanted. Like I told her if she had some wildness in her system or needed to see what was out there it was best to do it now, and get it out of her system than always wonder if she's with the right guy. Basicaly she figured out most guys aren't respectful and are only trying to get one thing.

I'm interested as to what other people will say. 20 and 17 is a huge difference in levels of maturity and responsibility. If you have your own apartment, pay the bills, deal with the consequences of her, it's cool. If not, there's no real good that can come out of a 17 year old girl being in a committed relationship with a guy that's 3 years older than her.

I'm not much with relationship advice. I just know that Tom Brady is a better QB than Peyton Manning.

In a few months she'll be 18 anyway I guess. However, Is being 2 and a half years older than someone really that big of a difference in the grand scheme of things? I mean, I know a lot of couples around here who have much bigger age differences, such as 25 year olds dating high schoolers, which I do feel is extreme. However, around here its just kinda accepted I guess. Should I maybe write a letter to the mom and just say something along the lines of your daughter and I care for each other and would like to see one another every once in a while. The reason I ask is that yeah I do care about her and I want what is best for her, and if it really isn't in her best interest to be dating someone of my age than yeah I think we can wait a bit. However, we're really kind of at the same place in life right now, I live with my parents and goto college, so I'm not like out on my own. I also don't drink or do anything like that. Im a good kid. I have no problem with asking the mother's permission and if we can't get it waiting. It would hurt but I'd do it.

Obligatory, "That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age" reference.

Make sure you don't knock her up, that's my main advice in all of this. I had a kid at 23, and it took us a long time to get to okay, if you want life to turn out like you hope, just make sure that you wrap it up.

I've been here long enough to remember Horns Maniac and that whole fiasco. Was here quite a bit before that. Ive played since FOF 2001. I have been here a while. I remember Blackadar I believe or whoever used to run this board before Skydog. I just never really had an urge or time to sign up and take part.

It's not the longtime part that people dispute. I think what people don't believe is that this is your first time posting -- they think you're an established user with a different name.

your life is pathetic if you need advice from anonymous strangers on an internet message board devoted to a text sim football game that is made by a ghostware company. i would contemplate suicide if i were you. it's memorial day weekend, and even i know you should not be living anymore. don't slash your wrists, it never works. just do it the right way and walk in front of an oncoming truck. you shouldn't be living anymore.

Yes, but what do you think of Ben Roethlisberger as compared to Peyton Manning? That's the important question.

It doesn't matter that this girl is almost 18 now. You were 18 and she was 15 when you started dating. In most states, you face a real risk of statuatory rape charges (even if that wasn't what the relationship was about.) Mom can press those charges YEARS after the fact in most states, and therefore you are certainly still at risk for stuff you may have done a year or two ago. Therefore, you better be very careful about pissing her mom off, which might mean not seeing the girl...

Ben is a winner. i'm sorry, when Ben and Peyton are naked in a locker room after a long day of golf and Peyton is all "i tossed a record 49 touchdowns" Ben will stand there with (hopefully) a fat flacid penis and say "does this championship ring make me look fat? Ben is a winner. championships beat great individual stellar seasons. rock. paper. scissors.

There should be more threads about Ben Roethlisberger's penis, and fewer threads about Brad Pitt's baby.

Ben will always be A OK in my book. when i was in Vegas in '05 i had $10 in my pocket and i put it down on the Steelers to win on my wife's hunch. steelers started out like fags and i was like "well, it was only $10, not like the Steelers were gonna win a bleeping championship anyway just cuz i bet on them" and he stood up with his robust male genitalia - he literally stood up - and decided this was the year he was gonna make the Steerlers a winner. i won $110 cuz it was 10-1 odds and now i will spend that money in Vegas this year when i go with my friends June 14-19. i might spend that money on whores or booze or whores pouring booze on themselves.

ok, i'm married, so there won't be any whores in the cards for me, but there will be plenty of booze Goddammit.

I bet that Ben would kick Peyton's ass if they got into a fight. Actually, is there any NFL player that couldn't kick Peyton's ass in a fight? I bet Steve Smith would have Peyton crying like a little girl.

i have no feelings of ill-will against Peyton. this AFC championship was a predicament for me - root for Ben's manly package and win $110....OR cheer for Peyton (one of my favorite players in the NFL) and have him basically win the championship.

no matter what it was win-win. $110 goes a long way. that cash is waiting in my sock drawer as we speak to be spent on something sinful. i'm tempted to bet it on black as soon as i touch ground and try to turn that original $10 investment into $220. that would be the greatest investment of all time. don't tempt me, cuz i'll do it.

I'm not sure the Grammatica that got injured while celebrating a field goal could, but I bet it would be a good fight. I'm not sure kickers count as players though.

doesn't the word "lineage" make it sound more dramatic? still, it's 27. he lacks the ferocity of say, Warren Sapp, but, that's a golden right arm he's got. helluva cannon. i wouldn't want to be in the line of fire once he unleashes it.

He doesn't get to pelt the kids with footballs, and he doesn't get an offensive line. If he did, that might be different. 12 5 year olds, and Peyton will be running for his life.

Peyton Manning is a much cooler name than Ben Roflburger. And at the end of the day, isn't that what really matters?

You know, I would pay good money to see Sapp take that particular challenge. My money would be on 10,000.

Sapp would get winded after the first 30 kids. First and foremost, these days he's a big fat fuck, so I doubt he has the stamina to last that long.

Why stop at Warren Sapp? Let's really unleash the fury, and turn someone truly crazy loose, like Dexter Manley in his cocaine-fueled prime...
