Games you play & games you look for

Right now I have my three perennials games, installed on the PC:
- FOF2004
- FOF2
- TCY

I also have Football Mogul 2006 installed but it clearly cannot be compared to FOF so my time has to go to FOF obviously.

I also play on the PSP quite a lot with the following games:
- Football Manager 2006 Handheld
- Tiger Woods 2006
- StarWars Battlefront
- Fight Night

And the games I am looking and will certainly buy once they are out:
- NFL Headcoach (PC)
- Total Pro Golf (PC)
- Madden 2007 & NCAA 2007 (PSP)

OK I have a really really dumb quesiton and I'm so ashamed to admit it.
But how the HELL do I save a game in FM Handheld without turning on Auto-Save?
Cuz I've now had twice that i've THOUGHT I've turned on auto-save and it apparently hasn't been on and I'd really like to play that one more, but I only have limited time.

As for games I play and look for...
Any Final Fantasy game
PSP right now I'm playing FIFA 2006 and hopefully will play FM Handheld
DS I'm playing Animal Crossing: Wild World and New Super Mario Brothers, mostly, with some Mario Kart or Brain Age every now and then
PS2 I'm not playing anything ATM but wee above comment about FF games
GBA I have Tales of Phantasia in my GBA slot of the DS, but haven't played it yet.

Games I currently play:
Oblivion
Rise of Legends

Games I will be playing over the next few weeks:
Fallout 1 and 2
Fallout Tactics (starting for the third time in as many years... never gotten very far)
perhaps Mech Commander 2

Oblivion is pretty cool. Unfortunately, I've gotten to the point with my main character that doing quests has simply become tedium. I don't really feel like playing through the Main Quest again, so it looks like I may be putting Oblivion down for a while.

Rise of Legends is a fun and interesting RTS. Different from most of the RTSes I've played, and I've played quite a few. It's refreshing.

to save the game by yourself, in FM handheld, just click on your name on the screen : that brings you to a menu where there is a "save" option.

I am beta tester for Football Mogul, plus one thing I like in this game is the possibility to shape up your own custom league.
Therefore I can set up the NFL Europe and the CFL in separate leagues.

But again, it's so far away from FOF that it is difficult to play for a long time when you have FOF just a click away on the same system.

Play:
PC-OOTP2006, PS, FM2006, DMB & FOF2004.
PSP-MLB06 The Show, FM handheld.

Anxious for:
PC-Head Coach, TPGolf.
PSP-NCAA 2007

I'm curious about Oblivion, my son plays the 360 version and I've almost purchased the PC version a couple of times just don't know if I'd ever play it since it would be my lone NON-sports game and typically I just don't play them.

Here's what I'm playing:

PC:
Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006 (I had stopped, but I just got back into it today)
PureSim Baseball 2007
Albatross

XBox 360:
Hitman: Blood Money
RockStar Games Table Tennis
Amped 3 (this is just a rental; probably won't buy it)
MLB 2K6 (online play only)
Astropop (this has gotten most of my XBox 360 time in the past month)

As far as other things go, for the 360, I have also rented Burnout Revenge (for the third time), so I'll be playing that some more this week. Since the price has dropped to under $40, I'll probably buy it fairly soon. I keep wanting to get back into College Hoops, but I need to find a slider set (Eaglesfan27, can you help me here?). I might go back to PGR3, but I dunno.

On the PC, I have Crusader Kings sitting here, and I haven't even installed it yet. I want to. I also have not started playing Galactic Civilzations II, which I also want to do. I'd like to get back into Space Rangers 2, but it's been so long that I might as well just start over.

Finally, for XBox, I'd like to get back into playing NCAA Baseball and Arena Football, but I've been too lazy to reconnect the machine to my monitor. NCAA Baseball is a great game, and I'd probably play it nonstop, except I seem to get a little bit of slowdown when I play, and it bugs me just enough to keep me from getting very attached. As much as I love the game of Arena Football, the video game is ultimately a disappointment. The gameplay is fine, but I was hoping that people would still be playing online, and they're not. I had quite a few good online games for a week or two, but the servers are dried up now. I can't seem to bring the VooDoo into franchise mode, and that disappoints me, too. It's still a fun game, but there's nobody to play with. I will give it another shot sometime, though.

Now, what am I looking forward to? All the upcoming football games. I think that's about it, although that Pro Cycling Manager game does look very good. If it's really only around $20, I'll probably get it. I don't think there's anything else that I'm itching to get right now.

My XBox 360's blog does a pretty good job of telling everyone what I'm playing. http://www.360voice.com/blog.asp?tag=Pumpy

Pumpy, I'll bump that thread with some sliders in a few minutes for College Hoops. How is Hit Man for the Xbox 360?

Thanks for the bump on the sliders. I'm looking forward to it.

As for Hitman, it's a lot of fun. I'm not very good at the game, but it's probably because I'm too impatient to do things "properly." For instance, I know which guard I want to kill, but I don't like waiting behind a crate for 60 seconds until he walks into the room and turns his back to me. So I just shoot him as soon as the door opens, and then all his friends come running. The graphics are very good, and there are several different paths to success in the game, so that's good. I'm not sure if it's really worth the $60 when you can get the PC version cheaper, but I hate playing this kind of game on the PC.

Overall, I think the game is great. The only thing that annoys me is the load times, but that's my fault for being a bad hitman and having to reload far more often that a more careful person would.

I'm glad I've still got Civ3 installed I've been playing it recently.

Installed OOTP 2006 recently but it was so disappointing so I bought PureSim which I didn't like much but was better. The sound was nice. Right now I'm spending about 5 hours a day with Mogul 2007 which is absolutely awesome. What I liked about High Heat 2002 but with more depth and sim accuracy and of course better financials and contract AI.
