FOF4: What am I doing wrong?

For the second time I simmed 1987-2002 from an OPU and in the year 2002 there is no draft class...

What in the world am I doing wrong?! If i didn't have a player in draft and in the player pool, would that cause this problem?!

I just don't understand why this would happen twice..

Just play a normal game and you'll probably be just fine.

Hah.. I know you're joking, but the point is I want all fictional players... you can't totally do that without simming up.. plus I want a history to my league

..

problem is it takes so long to do this when I have little time to play as it is, I can't afford the time to run a bunch of tests to see where the problem is when it takes 15 years to crop up..

I wrote support AT solecismic.com about 3 days ago about it, and have gotten no response back

If you use a TCY draft file to get past 2002, everything goes back to normal. Not an explanation of what is going on, but a way around it. If you need a draft file for 2002, let me know and I'll email you one when I get home this evening.

It might be a case where the draft file you input initially is defaulted to 2002 and not necessarily the first year (1987). So the game generates drafts up to 2002, and then it looks for the default draft from the universe file and there's no players there. Just a wild guess. I'd say Jim's the only one that will be able to tell us for sure what's going on.

I'm just glad to hear that I'm not the only one with this problem, so I'm not doing something wrong. If that's all I have to do, I have no problems doing it -- just didn't want it to crop up again.

Alf, thanks for the file, I'll use that and be on my merry way. With just one year of TCY, I can just rationalize and say that it was an exceptional draft class and move on.. the first one that I draft too

I am in the process or rebuild ing my TCY FOF site (I have 33 years of FOF4 draft files post TCY 1.1 patch). The problem is that I am overloaded with work to go into a redesign of the site. I really hope to have done it by the end of this week (hopes, hopes,...)
