Firewall Question

I have heard that it's not wise to have mutiple firewalls active at the same time, is this correct? Well what if my wireless DSL modem has a firewall that is active and then I have the windows firewall active? Does this count as multiple firewalls?

Its actually good to have multiple firewalls in your configuration because of defense in depth. Where it can get potentially bad is if both firewalls are software based like running zonealarm along with WF.
