Oakland QB Competition.
I'll continue with the QB polls. Today we turn to Oakland, and their QB situation. Who will get the start?

I know Aaron Brooks from college to the Saints, and I know he looks really good until he gets the job. So expect him to win it, then make everyone real sorry.
Actually, if the rest of the team is good enough to overcome a few bonehead plays, he might keep the job a long time. He does have skills. He just doesn't use them consistently. |

I truly believe they love walter, and i expect him to get some real good looks this year. Brooks will start, but i think walter will get a shot sooner rather then later

I wish that the default option would be for all polls to be public.

gotta go w/ the fellow alumni...Walter.
Plus he has the cannon for an arm that Oakland loves. He'll just heave it up there for Moss to run under and catch. |

Walter seems to be a good fit for what the Raiders offense has.
Aaron Brooks will start until he's murdered by the Raider Nation however. |

If Aaron Brooks is ever going to thrive in a system, it would be in the Raiders offense. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes out and throws for 4,000 yards and 24 touchdowns this year. Of course, he'll also throw 24 interceptions, but that's what you get.
Tuiasosopo seems like an nice guy but he's nothing more than a third-string quaterback. Walter's a prospect for sure, but I don't think you throw a guy like that into the Raider machine to get chewed up. Let Brooks see what he's got. If Brooks implodes, you can always bring Walter in when the season is lost to get experience. If you go with Walter out of the box and go 1-7, Raider Nation will never forgive you. |
