So I finally cracked....

Picked up WWSM 06 today at Gamestop. They were clearing out a number of their older PC titles, it was marked down to 10 bucks. I almost got the older Sega version of EHM for 4.99, but held off. So if you know your particular GS had a copy of either one of those games, it might be much cheaper now.

Anyways, I'm not much of a soccer fan, but I figure it's worth checking out for that price. Also picked up Sonic Heroes for 5 bucks, they seemed to have a lot of games on sale.

I don't know who to start as, I'll probably look at it and play it by ear. I have a p3 3.0 ghz(HT) with 1.5 gigs of ram, anyone got any good ideas of what leagues to run/what will run comfortably?

start off with the english 2nd league and up, spanish, italian and german first leagues running.

unless your going to play in the MLS then choose the us leagues, mexican 2nd and up plus any other central american leagues there are.

Just picked this up also. For a soccer newbie, can anyone point me in the direction of some useful sites/articles, etc?

A good place to start would be Marc Vaughan's Hints and Tips Guide. You can find it here:

http://www.sigames.com/downloads.php?type=view&id=358

And beyond that, you could probably post your questions in this forum and get a pretty quick answer - there are plenty of FM players around here
