FOF 2004
Just a quick question. Is anyone still playing or working on utilities for FOF 2004? I wanted to work on rosters for the upcommming pre-season that would have the draft file implemented into the rosters and current moves made for the upcommng 2006 season. If someone is already working on this let me know, and I would be glad to assist in some of the editing, but at this time I am having trouble getting some of the utilities as most of the links have died in the last year or so. I have a lot of the things but I would really like to edit in Excel and then run it through the packaged player file generator but if there is a better option, I am all ears. I have used the player file editor by Sigma Studios version .91, Had some trouble with this as you bump into the bottom row and it starts adding blanks into the file and I haven't found a good way to delete yet. Well if anyone like Yabanci(sp?) is working on 2006 I am volunteering some of my evening time. Just glad to be here, yada, yada

Using Lighthousekeeper's Player File Editor (Sigma Studios) you can select the whole sheet by pressing Ctrl+A, and then copy+paste it into Excel to edit there. However, the copying part takes a lllloooongggg time. Yabanci's 2005 file in Excel format is here (1.3 MB): http://www.fof2k4utilities.net/files/yabanci_2005.xls

3ric,
Thanks, I think I was getting to impatient on the copy paste deal. May try that again I will try to post the progress. I had tried that but I didn't give it time and it didn't seem like it was doing anything but that lets me know to slow down... |

Well no luck with the copy and paste. I used ctrl-a to select all, ctrl-c to copy, opened excel and ctrl-v but it goes quick and pastes the word "file" in the first cell. Not sure but then the editor locks up and have to ctrl-alt-del to close it. I think I will wait out Yabanci, who has pm'd me telling me not to re-invent the wheel; so I am going to be a good grasshopper and remain patient.
