Stephen King's new series, Nightmares and Dreamscapes(Spoliers)
The wife and I watched the first two episodes of the new Stephen king and loved the episodes. They felt very Twilight Zone especially the first one. The second was a little complex as far as story line and probably try to do to much but it was creepy. One question what the hell was the deal at the end? Did the woman's husband come back as a cat?

It was very interesting. I liked the first one better than the second one. The 'war' was interesting and for a second I actually thought the guy would be safe.
The second one was just strange. I wonder if the husband was alternate-dimension husband from the second he jumped from the bushes. Though for both, I think they tried to streach the respective short stories (which I haven't read, btw) a biiit too long.

They did feel a bit stretched (although since the first one was 60 minutes since there were no commercials, I can understand that one. It felt unedited.). All in all, pretty good IMO.

The first one I thought was fine, actually.. it was actually the second one that I thought was going on a bit too long, and with all that time they still answered no questions... oh well.

Loved the first one - full hour, no dialogue. I read that a long time ago and thought they did a fantastic job on it.
Second one...? Ugh. Just bad if you ask me. Weird camera movements, plot that makes no sense, really bad acting from the guy... I don't remember that story, but I thought the episode was pretty poor |

It should have been called Stephen King: The Outer Limits.

I didn't realize there was no dialogue until 20 minutes in. The episode was very well done in that respect. Im not a Stephen King fan but I did enjoy EP 1 quite a bit. EP 2 was pretty ridiculous. It was set up to have a scary/suspenseful ending but went absolutely nowhere. |

For the uninitiated, is this an original TV series or is it a series of episodes based on the short stories from the book?

The latter - although I believe there are one or two that aren't from Nightmares and Dreamscapes. I could be wrong on that, though. |

I was looking forward to these and was a little disappointed. I think the first episode was decent and the second was a drag.
The most interesting thing was that they pulled off an hour-long show without any dialogue. Clarie Forlani is still smoking hot, so that was good, too. ![]() |
