I just got a new computer and i was going to use my old one for parts on other computers i have around the house but i have a question about the processor. is it possible to use my old processor as a slave to my new one? i thought i heard it was possible but i might have been mistaken. i hope so because i have 1.7ghz just sitting over there and i would like to use it? anyone here know about computer hardware that can answer my question please????? thanks in advance

Depending on what you use the computers for it might be possible to set them up in a network and utilise the processor for some tasks.
For instance I use 'incredibuild' when compiling and it distributes my C++ builds between all the machines on the network which speeds things up nicely. |
