Gaming Bliss 360

Nothing against AgustusM, but I've been playing my new Xbox 360 for hours now and I'm so happy I finally bought one.

My new monitor is the BEST purchase I've made in quite some time... I love it. Thanks to IGN and their article on the 360 and this 20" widescreen monitor. WOW, everything looks so crystal clear and colorful.. I'm in awe.

My wife is going to be so happy as well because I purchased and downloaded Frogger for her to play.. she loves that game.

The controller is the most comfortable I've ever used, the system loads quickly, everything is easy to navigate, etc... and switching back and forth between 360 and PC has never been easier.

My friend just came over, watched some NCAA, then went and bought the same monitor at newegg. lol... he has a 360, but hooked up to a normal TV.

.. anyhow, back to gaming I go!!

Which monitor did you get?

I don't think I'll get one (I just got a non-widescreen Sony, and have an HDTV), but just for future reference, in case I need one in the future.

How long ago did you buy it? Longevity is the key with a console. If you're happy with it the first week or month you got it, that's fine... if you're happy with it a year after, that's where it turns into a good console. These are only my opinions of course.

Agreed. I tried it out last night and bought it 10 minutes later.

It's the honeymoon stage... we'll see how it holds up, but for now I'm having a blast.

The demo, it turns out, is the same thing they had on display at the Microsoft press reception prior to E3, so it wasn't anything I hadn't already seen, but it's still a great game.

to each their own and I am glad you are enjoying it, I too found the first couple days to be just great and it does look spectacular on my 55" HDTV. But it has been the games themselves with the crashes and omissions that have been my big complaint.

having said that I think much of it depends on the types of games you play - I watched my friend play the Tom Clancy game and it was incredible, I just don't have the ability or desire to play those types of games.

I do have to say that the wireless 360 controller is the most comfortable and beautiful one I've ever played with.

Being able to turn on the console with the controller is an awesome feature.

If a console maker puts a 5-disc changer in their system, it will be heaven.

When you buy a console, you're at the mercy of the manufacturer. That's why I'll stick with my PC.

If they ever drop 360's price to like $99 bucks, I might buy it.
