Unhappy Need good thoughts and prayers

My mom just called to tell me my father had surgery today to remove a cancerous tumor from his bladder. The doctor said it was the largest tumor hes ever seen. They were unable to remove all of it as he was bleeding too bad. They say the cancer has spread to his kidney. Im still sorta in shock. I feel really helpless, i just want to get good thoughts going his way. thats all i can do. Hes a good man and doesnt deserve this shit.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Things have gone from bad to worse unfortunately. After 3 surgeries, they finally were able to remove all of the tumor in the bladder, but when trying to do tests on the kidneys they revealed another large tumor in the ureter. It was to come out asap, so they could continue with the kidney surgery, but with some VA scheduling debacles they werent able to get the surgery scheduled in a timely manner. In the period in between, he started having what they thought were mini-strokes. After some tests and a CAT scan, it turns out he has a baseball sized tumor in his left front of his brain, he wasnt having strokes, but seizures. Were of course hoping it will be benign, but im having my doubts. Its just one thing after another, with 2 other cancer surgeries now on the back burner and brain surgery coming up, I just dont know where to find any strength or optimism.

Oh no. I pray for the best for you and your family. Regardless of the outcome, it'll make you all stronger. Your family is there to support as well, so if you don't know where to find strength, turn to them.

Man. That's really rough. I've had some cancer scares in my family the last few years, but nothing like this.

The best to you and yours. Hang in there, man.
