Board Problems This Weekend?
Anybody else having some board issues this weekend? I started noticing it on Friday night, and it seems to have become more prevalent, I keep getting "connection to the server reset" errors when trying to browse FOFC.
Anybody else? If nobody else is having any problems, any ideas how to fix it here? /tk

Just out of curiosity, are you guys on FireFox with Ad Block?
I think they're trying to push the interitials

I am using FireFox + AdBlock Plus, but usually when it comes to the interstitials, I get a black screen with green letters that says "Continue to Front Office Football Central" on top, so I can either click and continue or let it finally automatically do it. This seems more like a connection problem in general... /tk

What I was thinking was that it's trying to connect to the Intertial page and it resets since it's adblocked.. something to keep an eye on I guess.

This seems like it might be true were it not for being exceedingly slow even when I don't get the time out error.

I get it too...I'm also seeing the page load without some of the small icons. So the text "thumps up" instead of the icon, or the text "You have 100 posts in this thread" instead of the square.
Yes, that is the MF thread ![]() |

The site is doing the same thing for me, running the latest version of Firefox with no ad blocking.
It's streaky, but when things are going bad about half of my page loads will display the "connection to server reset" page. |

I get "Document Contains No Data" errors all the time with Firefox, either when logging in or clicking on general discussion. Pretty sure the problems are ad-related.

I'm getting it too. As soon as I click 'retry' it loads up for me.

Using IE and getting it too, sadly, clicking retry doesn't work when you just typed a long entry in a dynasty report for example. Now I ctrl-V everything before hitting submit. very suckly... FM

The board is doing some really odd things now. A post I just made a bit ago was an hour off. Also, I think some posts are appearing and disappearing (and not by people like to edit them) when I go to view them.
Either that or I'm more under the weather than I thought I was.. |

Actually for about 2 hours this evening, the "new message" notifier was all kinds of messed up. I'd go to the main page and it would say that there are no new posts in any of the forums, but if I enter a forum, there are 4 threads with new posts.
Not sure that it matters, just an observation. /tk

This happened to me last nite, too. Thankfully I type my long posts up in notepad before pasting them in due to me accidently clicking the 'back' button on my mouse once and losing a massive dynasty post.

My first two posts tonight were both in the GD, and one was fine, the next was not.

Is it the people who's time is set to Central Time that's getting their post set back an hour?

Yes I've been getting the "connection to the server reset" error and also one which says something like "redirection cannot be completed". It's OK this morning though.

Ok, this is odd. Any posts that I make in the Dynasty Forum are an hour or so behind real time. Posts in the general board appear to be perfectly normal time. I just posted in the dynasty section and note the time it lists is 8:28 PM (it was around 9:28 in reality.)

Yep, the timestamp bug is back in a bad way. Going back an hour in time at times.

Also, at least for me posts are showing up as odd times but when I go into the thread, a different time for the post is showing. |

Whoops! Spoke too soon. The "reset" message just happened again. Yes, sorry about the confusing "this morning" comment. We are 10-15 hours ahead of you guys (and about 20 years behind). It is not the time stamp problem exaggerated.

I've been having the connection closed error crop up periodically over the last few days, yeah.

If anything, it's gotten worse the past couple of days.
I actually think the problem goes back to a couple of weeks back when we had to change our bookmarks (from dynamic2 to sportsplanet.gamespy or whatever it was)
