Wanted: A Good Media Player for .AVI's
Besides RealPlayer or WindowsMedia. Any ideas?

I haven't found a type of file that VLC won't play yet, so it's good if you don't want to mess with codecs and all that bunk.

Yeah, I'll second VLC as I have yet to have it fail to play anything or even be missing sound or video- which I'll get a lot with other players. And that's as someone who has a lot of anime sitting around and those encoders like to use a lot of different freaky codecs that no one else wants anything to do with.

Thirding VLC. Great program. If you want another alternative, you might try the free divx player. www.divx.com I think.
