Shatner Roast
Anyone watch this? Not quite as good as previous years, but still funny as hell. George Takei was great. Farrah Fawcett's face was stretched like visqueen and she didn't seem to know where she was. Jeffrey Ross killed yet again. Has anyone seen Andy Dick and Tom Green in the same place, because Andy Dick is quickly becoming the most annoying person ever.

Tom Green got cancer, effectively killing any funny he had in him. Which in my opinion was none to begin with, but there you are.

Did they capture on film the part where Andy Dick licked everybody and urinated in front of the reporter?

No. They showed him lick a few people, but some stuff happened backstage. Apparently he bit the hand of someone's girlfriend? I thought his bit was mildly funny - at least he tried something different - but the licking stuff got old fast.

I'm not a Andy Dick fan but I thought it was pretty funny when George Takai told him to tone it down.

They missed it big without Nick Dipaolo being there.
The "Tough Crowd" comics are far and away the best thing going in comedy today. Dipaolo, Giraldo, Norton, O'Neal, etc. |

On the preview for the season finale of Psych, they are at science fiction convention and George Takei is standing there. One of the characters says, "Take it easy, Checkov," and he gets all mad and says, "I'm Sulu!"

I thought she was hilarious. So was Giraldo and Ross. It seemed to drag as it went on though. Seemed like the funniest people went first and then it dropped off. But I missed some of the stuff at the end. |

Lisa "I'm a giant horse of a human being" lamparilli(sp) while badly timed and soudning like a moron, was actually VERY funny. She was near the end of it all. I laughed my ass off at most of the stuff. Takai was awesome as he played off of everyone elses jokes towards him.
The best bit was his final line, Takai and Shatner while friendly have never really been close personal friends and takai was often quoted as being a jealous co-actor on the shows and movies, so when he said "Fuck You, and the horse you rode in on" I almost pissed myself. He wasn't kidding when he said he's waited 40 years for a chance to say that! |

Watched this on Tivo last night. I had no idea the whole thing was going to be that raunchy. I'm no prude, but damn. It seemed like almost every joke involved Takei giving it up the ass, Andy Dick taking it up the ass, or Shatner's sagging balls.
But there were some classic lines in there. I like the one Betty White said about the short dude backstage "going up on Farrah." And Andy Dick needs to be permanently relocated to Neptune.

Yep, I've seen her on a couple of older roasts and thought she was great on them as well. My wife had never seen her on a roast and before she got up there was saying "Betty White?". I just told her wait and see... ![]() |

You know it. I've seen DiPaolo live twice and he had me in tears. Without question the most straight forward, hilarious comic out there. |
