How much to let them go for....

A friend and I have season tickets to the NY football Giants. As i'm sure many of you know, the first game of the yr for them is a Sunday nighter against the Colts. After hearing some of the rumors and checking out ebay, we have actually started debating on whether or not to sell them. We are both huge Giants fans and will more than likely be holding on to the tickets. Now if one of you guys, or gals, was put in this position, where you had tickets to a very hyped game, with an amazing atmosphere, to your favorite team, how much would you sell them for??

I should point out that these seats are in the 300 nosebleed section, and the total cost of the 2 tickets is $1500 ($750 each) for the season. I say this bc obviously if someone offered $750 I would take it, but say it was $375 (half the total cost for myself), is that worth missing out on a game like this?

Unless you are cash-strapped, I would want 80-100% of the season ticket cost to sell. It would suck to miss any MNF game and add in the Manning-factor, it would be that much more.

you are crazy not to take the money although I doubt you'd get such an offer for game one of the season for such crappy seats.

Sell the pair for as much as you can get. If you still absolutely have to go, tailgate and try to get scalps midway through the first quarter.

For $375 I could treat a bunch of my friends to a very nice sports bar and have a great time. Ymmv.

I really don't get people paying hundreds of dollars for NFL games.

For good seats or big games I get it. Personally I'd rather watch it on tv than sit in the nose bleed sections.

I don't think any football stadium has better seats than my couch.

Some places you can sit so close you get cheerleader sweat on you. Try that at home.

I've always thought that if you're a true fan of the team, the fact that it's a 'big game' won't mean as much to you as it would to others. On the other hand, when I had Michigan season tickets, I never sold my tickets to the Ohio State game.
