New Orleans Sports TalkShow Host Shoots Wife in the Face

Ok, again, allegedly. BUT . . . Here's the short version.

Vince Marinello, 69, had a rough time with New Orleans. He was the evening talkshow host on WWL radio's Sports and Katrina shows, but used to be the sports commentator, sports director, and analyst for other channels and stations. And he loved the race track. Unfortunately, having to cover the New Orleans Saints was not bad enough; his wife was getting on his nerves, too.

Marriage. The first one was ok, but ended in divorce. The second time around was a little better, but ended in divorce. The third one, well, started before he was divorced and ended before divorce. HUH?

He married a 45 y.o. before the divorce for #2 was finalized. Now, I'd be a little miffed (if I were wife #3). She opted to divorce him for whatever post katrina money (FEMA and otherwise) he had left and take his house. Or Trailer. Or both. But first, she was going to get counseling.

That was a good plan--on paper--but Vinnie met her there the other day, while hiding from the cameras, and (allegedly) shot her twice in the face and tried to make it look like a robbery. A lady that was parking her car in the same lot, saw the woman lying there in her own blood and called 911. Vinnie hurried back to Jackson, MS, to his "alibi" hotel, to await the "terrible news."

The rest is history. Or it will be history in the future. or something like that. Too bad he forgot to notice the little, itty bitty security cameras on the second floor. Too bad, Vinnie. Really, you need to watch more CSI.

Jeez, I remember Vince Marinello when he was on WDSU with Buddy D on Sunday nights. That must've been about 20 years ago.

On a more personal note, does the phrase "Bullet-Ridden Linen" mean anything to you, Towelhead? It's a phrase from my past, and since you're near New Orleans (my hometown), I'm thinking there's maybe a 10% chance that you know what I'm talking about.

Pumpy, that wasn't that long ago. Vince and Buddy did a Saints show on WDSU in the late Mora days. (I still remember vince ranting and raving like a maniac every week about Everett's "meaningless TDs")

Vince went crazy I think, although he never seemed to be the most upright mast on the ship... He tried to get away with it through a fake mustache and a "To do list to get away with it" that he left in his trailer. Seriously.

In hindsight, I find that everyone looks like a murderer.

lmao @ hindsight observation!

Did ya notice how Vinnie (the guy in red) looks HORRIBLE? I didn't think he needed Man Bras yet. I guess Radio really does make people look younger.

*Snap*

Ok, so let me get this straight. Vince sees an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger, and says, "Hey, this foiled hooligan actually had a great idea! I could make this work!!" *Snap*

HELLO! Metairie's sherrif is an older, wiser, nastier, and Orientaler version of Walker. How did he think he would get away with 1) a crappy costume 2) riding a bike to the murder scene 3) jumping into HIS car (not even a rental), 4) putting his getaway bike into his car, and 5) keeping a To-Kill list (or whatever it was) in his FEMA trailer without Harry Lee finding out?

*Snap*

I think Vinnie snapped when he lost his baseball card collection.

Dang washcloths.

Gunner, show some consideration for your elders!

in case you are interested, the Apartment you helped me move into was wiped out (on the upside, I always wanted a skylight). Two rooms were spared, but i'm still, a year later, sleeping on an air mattress. Parents are ok, Matt (Unknown BBS) is ok, and Jay cruttie is an aspiring musician/hippie.

I hope your parents and sis are ok, since that area was hit hard. I want to see wedding pics, btw.

Finally, the saints open up against the browns on sunday at the same time my son has to be at a birthday party for my girlfriend's son. Thank God for my DVR.

That should be enough for you to IM me on Yahoo.
