Ping: BBCF. Re: Polls
The USA Today coaches poll is out, and in only the third week, there are NO 1-2 or 0-3 teams ranked in the top 25. To wit...
The 1-2 University of Miami Hurricanes, despite
Is that so hard to figure out? Last edited by Toddzilla : 09-17-2006 at 12:16 PM. |

You might want to look a little closer at that poll. Sure, Miami isn't in the top 25 but there are still plenty of AP morons who still voted for them this week and ended up putting them at an overall #27. At least Arle is just designing a game and a computer will always have some flaws. In real life there are people who have seen Miami get their asses handed to them by Louisville and lose to Fla St, but are so impressed by their win over Florida A&M that they deemed them to still be top 25 worthy. Those writers really should lose their voting credentials.

I dunno if it's that far off. I could probably find 25 teams that I believe are likely to beat Miami, but I don't know how many more beyond 25 the list would get. I mean, the hardest thing to about voting in cartman's poll each week is finding 25 teams that are actually worthy of some sort of recognition, that aren't fatally flawed in some significant way or that stand out clearly above the rest of the pack.
