Helmet templates

Okay, I need to find a helmet template and tips for creating fictional team helmets, i.e. which is better Photoshop or . . . crayons. Anything would be helpful.

Indy Invaders: DFL, leading the NC North , at least for another week
Richmond Generals: USFL.

Thanks guys.

P.S. Any new fictional leagues in the planning?

I used crayons as a kid (honestly...wish I still had the drawings), but use photoshop now. A template can be found here:

Misterhabs' Helmets, Helmets, Helmets site is great for ideas and base helmets, and Logoserver or Chris Creamer's logo site are good for logos. There's a Madden team site out there too with a number of logos as well.

You probably know of it already, but...

New York kid that I was, I always liked the New Jersey Generals (USFL). I thought the logo and color scheme were very basic yet cool. See the helmet 1/2 way down the page here: http://www.thisistheusfl.com/memnjgenerals.htm

Might relate to your Richmond Generals.
