T.O. publicity stunt?

Does T. O. just feel like being in the spotlight this week, or do you think he really tried to kill himself?

I don't think he did anything on purpose, but I do think he likes the fact that he is on national tv even more than usual because of this.

We need at least 3 or 4 more TO threads. Maybe even incorporate TO into a werewolf game.

This poll is based on him committing suicide as fact and that doesn't appear to be what happened.

You're missing the "He's telling the truth" option.

This isn't even a relevant poll, because if you watched the press conference it was a reaction to his medication, I'll take his word for it.

If he is telling the truth then he tried to kill himself, hence that option is covered.

Okay, fine. He didn't TRY to commit suicide though, so your poll is shit.

How come no one is talking about this controversial Patriots move...

Patriots put Gay on IR

Not that there is anything wrong with that.....

No.

He says he didn't try to kill himself, that he only had a medical reaction.

You are right, he is probably telling the truth. There is no way somebody as T.O. would pull a stunt like this.

Here's what a very wise poster on another board said on the subject:

Quote:
To those who think this is all a ploy for attention...

Yes, people do attempt suicide just to get attention. It would seem bizarre to most of us, but it does happen. But what you're missing is that for the most part those people do so because they believe it's the only way they can get that attention. It's an act of desperation.

Terrell Owens, whatever you think of him, is not some kid from a small-town with a bad family situation and no friends. This guy can get attention any time he wants it, and as we all know he's very good at getting it.

Think it through even further... why would he do this for attention now? He's ten days away from what would be the most-hyped game of his career. As soon as the games end on Sunday, the whole NFL was going to be all about TO for a solid week, starting with the Eagles on MNF. It was going to be around-the-clock Owens.

As much as a diva as he is, do you really think he would risk his life just to get some attention for an extra few days? That just doesn't make any sense.

I am not saying he did or didnt try to kill himself, or even that this wasnt an honest accidental OD of pain medication, but anybody who thinks it would be beyond Owens to do something like this for attention is a sucker.

Can you think of easier ways for TO to get attention?

Don't you think he could, too?

I can, but who knows? Just because it would be easier for him to do something else doesnt mean he would.

I really can't stand the media. For months, even yrs, they rag on this guy saying how terrible he is and whatnot. Now bc it seems to be a huge miscommunication with this whole suicide deal, a lot of reporters on espn are saying he practices so hard, is always trying his best, blah blah blah. If this is a publicity stunt, looks like it's working in his favor.

On to my thoughts on the poll.

The options are incomplete. There's not a "No, he had a bad reaction to pain meds" which is what he is saying, that doesn't fit under either of your options.

Hmm... I could make an offhand comment about McNabb to a reporter...

I could leak a story about me dating Paris Hilton...

Or I could even just wait three days for the Cowboys/Eagles hype to start...

Maybe I could ask my army of agents and publicists to see what they can do...

Actually, I know! I'll risk my life! Yes, that's it!
