Trying to download my video to my PC and the software provided by Sorny won't do it.

Anyone have this model (or something similar) and know of freebie software to accomplish this? I'm guessing Pinnacle Studio will do it, but I want to do this on the cheap (read: free).

I think you might be able to do it with Moviemaker that comes with most XP systems already.

Moveimaker will work. You can also download a trial version of Pinnacle (to ensure it's not a hardware problem).

Make sure you are using a firewire or USB2 port as most USB1 ports can't transfer the video fast enough.
