FF: Start Joe Addai or Lamont Jordan?
I can't figure out who to start as my #2 RB this week behind Stephen Jackson. I really feel this could be a breakout game for Addai vs. the Jets. The run D is horrendous and they're going to be keying on the pass. And the Indy coaching staff HAS to see by now that Addai is a better back than Rhodes. I'm leaning in this direction.
However, Jordan is going to be productive this year and this is as good of a week as any for him to start. They're playing the Browns for the love, and they have a new unknown at QB. While its entirely possible they won't score any points this week, the Raiders have to give Jordan his carries. Any thoughts? My knowledge of Jordan and Raiders football is extremely limited, so I don't have much info on why he has underproduced so far this year other than the fact that his team blows.

New blocking scheme for the offensive line is primarily why Jordan didn't do well so far. I'd go with Addai against the Jets. The Browns defense is pretty good especially with the run plugger Ted Washington.

Go with Addai. I have Jordan as well, and he's on the bench for me until the Raiders can show some signs of life on Offense. Given that their O-Line is still in dissarray and the passing game is AWOL, there's not much that Jordan's going to be able to do.
Plus, Addai should do well anyway. Jets will have to keep safeties in coverage and their run D has been poor so far this year. |
