You know you things are rough when

you hang a banner in your stadium that reads "AFC Finalist" like the Indy Colts. Just noticed this when watching the game. Yeah, nothing like celebrating a monumental loss.

Look, you get banners for division, conference, and SB championships and that's it, unless of course that's all you got to hang onto.

I am confused as to how they are a "finalist". They didn't make it to the AFCC, right? They lost in the divisional round.

Should it say something like "AFC Playoff representative"?

Maybe the banner celebrates their AFC championship game appearance in 2003, but it's silly. Who else makes a banner for being a "finalist"? If you lose in the Super Bowl, at least you're a conference champion. If you lose in the playoffs, maybe you're a division champion. It's bizarre that someone would make a banner saying "We're #2", though. Very, very bizarre.

As a Colts fan, I've always thought it was rather silly as well.

I do not understand the Colts at all this year. Not at how poorly their run defense is or how they just plain don't show up for some games, but how we're actually undefeated! We play worse than most of the teams with 2 losses already.

Yes, it's for 2003. They also had one for 1995.
