Which difficulty level does the computer play with (as far as ticket revenue/fan loyalty goes)?

Does the difficulty level affect contract negotiations?
If so, does the lower difficulty level offset the quirk of players refusing to re-sign as FA for less than more money than they're worth, then signing for min salary with another team?

I thought I had more, but this is all I'm remembering right now.
