Sdsu- 2010-2011

The question that's been burning all through the summer in San Diego as the Padres stumble and as Junior Seau gets wheeled out for his 25th NFL season is whether Dan Houston will stay at the University or move up the coast to Washington State.

The San Diego Union-Tribune has learned that he will be holding a press conference tomorrow at the Civic Center at lunchtime to announce his decision. Sources close to the Union Tribune say that he is leaning heavily on either traveling up Interstate 5 to Washington State or leaving coaching all together for a studio job at ESPN, replacing the recently retired Digger Phelps. School officials were unavailable for comment.

Now, XTRA Breaking News.

Good Afternoon, welcome to our coverage of what is expected to be Dan Houston's resignation speech.

We are joined by San Diego State analyst Tank McNamara. Tank?

Thanks, Jim. I think that this will be a positive thing.

How so?

Well, Jim. Dan hasn't always meshed with his players. I think that going the Al Maguire route is best for him.

Here's Dan.

Good Afternoon. I have a short statement and I will take no questions. Despite reports to the contrary, I will stay here at SDSU. Despite the disgusting atmosphere that exists in the media, We will win and win alot.

"Wait, Dan is standing, and dropping his pants."

When we go to the NCT's this year I want you to this. (bare ass and bent over) RRRRRRRRRRRRRRIPPPPPPPPPPPPPP. Kiss my smelly ass.

bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

We seem to have lost our connection to the Civic Center.

Houston In Trouble

After a tempestous press conference when Dan Houston was flatulent into a series of microphones and a horrific start, Houston more than likely will be shown the door following the end of the season after nine seasons with the Aztecs. The team has been in a stupor since it's opening night win against #10 Iowa State, since that night the team has dropped five out of it's next six to be sitting at 2-5 with conference play a couple weeks away.

Details to follow.

November

Dashed Hopes.

San Diego State began the 2010-11 season on the highest of highs then things got wierd.

SDSU opened up at home with an amazing upset of #10 Iowa State, 73-65. Keith Washington had 16 pts and 10 boards.

Then it went downhill from there. SDSU dumped their first two road games in rather bad fashion, at Middle Tenn St. 85-70 then to Jacksonville State 89-72. Sophomore Shooting Guard Dexter Edwards paced the Aztecs with 18 and 19 respectively.

SDSU closed November with a rather unspectacular win over UC Riverside 76-67. Keith Washington got out of his slump and led the Aztecs with 12 pts and 6 rebounds.

As November closes, SDSU is 2-2

Talking Do they know it's basketball and not quarterbouncing?

The never ending love/hate affair that is San Diego State basketball took some twisted turn as the road to conference play emerged.

The 2-2 Aztecs took their roadshow to the ancient O.J. Simpson L.A. Sprorts Arena to face #12 USC. Boy did we put on a show. The Aztecs led by as many as five in the second half and just tired out down the stretch losing by 1, 71-70. Dexter Edwards remains the most consistent scorer, sending in 18 in a losing effort.

Then the San Diego players saw snow and red. Traveling from Los Angeles to West Point in a blizzard to get spanked at Army 81-65. The Military Academy used it's 3pt artillery to the max hitting on a whopping 50% of it's attempts.

San Diego then played a nasty game at home against Creighton. Creighton exploited SDSU's 3-2 zone to go 14-26 from behind the arc to destroy SDSU 84-67

A hard team meeting followed and after introducing the Perimeter Zone offense after landing at Amherst to play UMass, the 2-5 Aztecs surprised the Minutemen 73-63. Once again Dexter Edwards was the straw that stirred the drink by popping in 16. Although San Diego struggled most of the game from the line, they hit their shots late to preserve the win.

Fresh from the confidence shown against UMass, SDSU throttled Boise State 77-52. Once again, Dexter Edwards led the show with 15 and Mario Roland, the underappreciated forward, dropped in 13 pts and 9 rebounds. SDSU shot better than 50% from the field.

A rather animated discussion preceeded SDSU's next game. The Aztecs traveled to Lubbock and Texas Tech. Bobby Knight had a few good laughs over Dan Houston's scented message to the media. Texas Tech had the last laugh, 74-63, pounding the boards 44-29. It was obvious that crashing the ofensive boards was the deciding factor. Edwards poured in 12 in a losing effort.

Then the bottom fell out. SDSU was embarrased at home by 1-9 New Mexico State 75-49. Slumping Keith Washington trashed the locker room after the game, defacating on Houston's desk.

Houston the next day offered his resignation to Athletic Director Tony Gwynn. He refused it. Gwynn stripped Washington of his scholarship and had arena officials remove all San Diego State banners from the gym. Players who had grumbled quietly in the press about the attitude of Washington were outspoken about their happiness.

After having NBA scouts tell Washington that he was not pro material either in talent or attitude, He decided to stay. The same could not be said for Junior point guard Maynard Allen. The oft injured Allen will forgo his senior year.

The last game before the conference season pitted SDSU at home against Western Illinois. A racous crowd stomped and cheered all night as the Aztecs won a tough game 72-71. Edwards, who is real popular with his team and city, had a 13 point night.

The opening night of Mountain West play saw SDSU fly to Colorado Springs and face the Air Force. The Aztecs were successful in grounding Air Force 71-67. Backup Senior guard Stevan Blair did his best Clyde Frazier impression with a 14 point and 10 rebound night.

As 2011 starts, SDSU is 6-7 with the 99th toughest schedule in the nation. Along with the injury to Allen(cornea), starting Center Damon Brown is recovering from Tendinitis.

Due to a bug in the new patch, the adventures of Dan Houston and the little team that could will be delayed.

We hope that you enjoy this very special showing of the movie Heidi instead.

Play with a big school until you get used to how the game flows, what offense and defense works best etc. Then dive in with a small school and try your hand.

The alarm clock rang at 6:00 on October 15th 2010, Dan Houston was glad he woke up. What a nightmare, his best players in revolt. Bobby Knight asking for advice on how to tick off the media. He was glad that this was a dream.

Due to the advances in the 1.21, we will be starting this years team again from scratch. No farting coaches. No moody juniors acting like Allen Iverson.

Midnight Madness!

(for those of you wondering what the hell I'm blabbering about.. October 15th is the first day that organized team practices can happen, with supervision from coaches.. many of the bigger programs celebrate this with a practice at 12:01 AM on the 15th, and sell tickets and make it into a general rah-rah thing, with a scrimmage, fans shooting half court shots for prizes.. Anyone remember Dick Vitale saying.. "If this guy makes this shot, I'll cover his college expenses for the year.." then the guy making the half courter and the crowd absolutely going APE?)
