Did Sebastian Telfair Put Out a Hit On Fabolous?
There are too many single, anonymous quotes in this article, but I don't believe Telfair's side of the story at all.

I agree, no way is Telfair 6 feet tall. That's a bald-faced lie.

Ladies and gentleman, your 2006-07 Celtics:
The wait continues for Tony Allen. The Celtics guard was not at practice yesterday because he was appearing in a Chicago court for a status hearing on his aggravated battery case. There was hope that a trial date would be set, but that didn't happen and Allen now faces another five weeks of uncertainty over his legal situation. Eleven months ago, a Cook County grand jury indicted Allen on three counts of aggravated battery for his alleged role in a fight that escalated into a shooting at the White Palace Grill in Chicago's West Loop Aug. 28, 2005. Allen pleaded not guilty to the charge at his Dec. 6 arraignment and posted $150,000 bond. Aggravated battery carries a maximum penalty of five years in jail. http://www.boston.com/sports/basketb...en_unresolved/ |

Danny Ainge with another great trade

Ainge's record isn't great, but that's crazy talk. Isiah is on a different level.

Why is Diddy's name always mentioned in these types of stories, but he's never a target?

I guess what I'm trying to say is, why can't he be a more integral part of these stories...if you catch my drift.
Just think of the press shitstorm if the self-proclaimed Black Sinatra was shot!

This thread is full of great quotes and none of them are by Telfair. Excellent work, gentlemen.

That's the greatest flop in the history of the league.
You flop guarding Scalabrine and your game has some serious problems.

I'm not sure of the exact time when Danny took over, but since he's turned that TERRIBLE roster they had when he joined into a roster full of youth and a much better salary cap situation I think he's done a pretty good job. Nowhere near what Isiah has done. |

Ainge is fine. In fact he has drafted very well. The problem is the nba. The system sucks so it's impossible to build a team up from nothing. The opposite is easy. You can really ruin a frachise. Isiah is living proof. How stupid is it that the Celtics go from annual title threat to zilch because of a stupid ping pong ball. Oh and Pitino too.

The Terrible roster that had been in the CF the year before he took over? He gave away Fatione for next to nothing. I may hate his game, but he's a pretty good player. Last edited by stevew : 10-19-2006 at 02:36 PM. |

Not really looking for that. Just saying, as you know, that the system makes it extremely difficult to achieve anything other than perpetual mediocrity. Combine that with periods of ineptitude and you get a 20 year drought championship wise. At least Ainge is aquiring youth and providing some semblance of hope for boston.

That team that was in the ECF, was probably the worst team ever to make it that far. When Eric Williams and Walter McCarty are your third and fourth scorers, you're in trouble! The Knicks are loaded w/ overpaid, lazy, me-first players and have NOOO Cap flexibility. The Celtics are loaded with young, tradeable assets. The only knock I have on Danny are his free-agent signings, Dickau, Scal, Blount (resigning). |

Yeah, because, you know, getting screwed one year is comparable to it happening over a decade. ![]() God only knows how bad we'd be if Detroit had drafted Melo and we'd have been stuck with Darko. Hey, getting those top picks doesn't necessarily mean a return to prominence.

Okay, honestly, you guys gotta quit it with the stupid abbreviations. 'CF' is and always will be "centerfield". And ECF? That's either a conference abbreviation in TCY or a new circuit of UFC fighting. Quit being lazy and type this stuff out. I don't got time for abbreviations-initiated brain cramps. Thanks! ![]()
