Of Xboxes and Minority Reports
Namely, has anybody had a problem trying to watch this movie on an Xbox? I was havin' a grand old time right up until chapter 12, at which point its been consistently freezing, skipping, etc. It plays just fine on my Dad's Samsung DVD player (but that's not the POINT, since I want to watch it where I'm comfortable, dammit).
I haven't looked at the box yet to see whether it might be a dual-layered DVD or not (anybody know the answer to that one?) but it's the only DVD I've had the slightest problem with on my Xbox, so I hesitate to think it's a problem with the hardware (other than any dual-layer issues). If anybody else has an Xbox w/ DVD playback kit and this movie and can give me confirmation or denial on this issue, I'd appreciate it. Josh |

I have an XBOX and have watched several movies on it with no problems(knocking on wood).
I watched 'the sum of all fears' just the other day with no problems. You made need to buy a cleaning kit, not sure. Good Luck and I hope you find a fix.

I had that happen on an old DVD player. It would just freeze on a scene, and it wouldn't get passed no matter how times I tried, but it worked fine on the X-Box. I'd normally have to wait about a day before it worked. Maybe the laser getss to hot or something gets on it.
