Human error affected replay for two big plays in USC - Texas Rose Bowl
hxxp://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/news;_ylt=Ao4FUth9VefBOcZB_6VQdRIcvrYF?slug=jo-replay111006&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
The gist of it ... the wrong feed was plugged into one of the replay monitors, so officials didn't see the best feed for the Selvin Young (VY's knee down) TD until it was too late, and also didn't have the right angle for the Reggie Bush "lateral". It was human error, not an equipment malfunction. Also, they were using a cheaper system (a Tivo costing $2000) than the $40,000 systems used by the Big East, ACC, SEC and some other bowl games last season. |

Another big play that involved human error was when Reggie Bush tried that downfield lateral. What the hell was he thinking?

Exactly. So what if the refs screwed USC a little, USC screwed themselves a lot. Lost in the Vince Young lovefest is the question of how the hell we managed to lose that game. |
