How can you hate Cold Stone? Here, we have them both - Cold Stone AND Marble Slab. I haven't been to either in several months and this coupon isn't helping things.

I personally feel like the Ice Cream at Cold Stone tastes BAD. FWIW, it may be just that I don't like "cream based" ice cream... we don't have Marble Slab, we have "Maggie Moo's" which I feel is FAR superior...

Because this is a tourist town, we have a LOT of ice cream places... here is my ranking of the chain ones:

1) Maggie Moo's
2) Bruister's
3) Dairy Queen
4) Baskin Robins
5) Rita's (not exactly ice cream)
6) Ben and Jerry's
7) Friendly's
999999999999) Cold Stone Creamery

And in my opinion the best of them all... (and KSy, they have these in Lexington)..

Yummy!! But only in a small area of the country (the Lexington-Louisville-Cincinnati triangle area).

I love throwing a quarter in the tip jar at Cold Stone and waiting for the "Do you really want me to sing again?" look.

I can't imagine someone being a stone cold cold stone hater like wade. It may not be the greatest thing ever, but it's pretty damned close. Surely better than DQ for starters.

I like whichever one (Marble or Cold) that has Amaretto-flavored ice cream the best. Amaretto with raspberries and almonds kicks ass.

Someone please bring me some rope to tie myself to the chair with...

Yeah... That's what a lot of people say.. My fiancee and I both agree on this. Maybe it's because we had Maggie Moo's first?

It's just the ice cream itself that I don't like. I really strongly believe that it is that I don't like the "cream" base. Because I never met an ice cream I didn't like until I had Cold Stone. I'm a bit of an Ice Cream fanatic really, and we have got gift certificate for Cold Stone last christmas and have never bothered using them.

Try the birthday cake flavor, or it's called something like that. That was the one I liked a lot more than the vanilla and or chocolate.

I'm not sure, but I think I understand what you mean. I don't really like Breyer's because it's not creamy at all - it flakes and chips apart and seems more like ice milk than real ice cream. Do you like Breyer's?

Breyers Vanilla Bean is my favorite store bought Ice Cream.

For pure flavor that is, I usually add chocolate chips, mini-m&m's, or something because I don't tend to like just plain vanilla.

Then I get it. When I (used to) go to the store to buy ice cream, Breyer's was the last option - even if that meant buying store brand.

So I'm curious then..

What's your favorite at the Grocery Store?

I'm not sure I would say they're my favorite, but damn if those Graeters' soft chocolate chips aren't good. I wish more places would pick up on this.

I rarely got to that point, and I no longer have this option since I moved from Florida, but Publix was pretty good. Usually, though, I could find something that satisfied me (Blue Bell is a top choice).

Dola.

For the sake of sustaining my diet, I REALLY need to end my participation in this thread!

Good catch on the couponing. Just printed out the pair from the
Mizzou B-ball fan link.
Thanks.

Sorry, I didn't mean which Grocery Store brand, but just what store bought brand (like Breyer's, Edy's, etc)

Edy's isn't bad, either, but Blue Bell has been my favorite. I'm not sure what exactly is available in Kentucky since I've been dieting, but Blue Bell only recently made an appearance in Tallahassee (within the past couple of years or so at Publix).

Never had Blue Bell..

Anyway...

Ice Cream is a major joy of mine ...

My grandfather actually had a book where he would check off all of the mom and pop frozen custard places he went to as he travelled (used to travel in an RV around the country)... I must get it from him... I can't imagine how many checks he must have had.
