FOF2k7: I can't be the first one to say this...
I've done a search using all the keywords I can think of, and didn't find anything that would indicate that this has been discussed before. But at the same time, I can't believe that no one else has touched on this, so if I missed something, I apologize.
Out of all the things in the game, what bothers me the most is that when I double-click a box score in the simulation window, it opens up in my current browser window which is at whatever website I was currently reading. I can't really accurately describe how much this bothers me. I know I can just click the back button on the browser to get back to where I was, but sometimes after I look at the stats, I instinctively X-out of the window, only to realize a second later that I also lost the website I was previously viewing. Is there any way to get the game to launch the box scores in its own browser window? For the record, I'm using IE, so if your answer is to start using Mozilla, go screw yourself . |

I might be the only one, but I preferred the old text box scores.

I love the new boxscores, but also wish they opened up in their own new window. Of course, I solve this problem by having a few extra windows open that the game always takes over for boxscores.

Yep, firefox opens in a new tab. I do prefer the text version though. Smaller, quicker load, quicker read.

One of the patches added an option for this in the Color Scheme window - "Use custom box and log browser". If you select this, the box scores and logs will open in a built-in browser within the FOF application.

I prefer the new box scores, but I was surprised they don't open in a new window. I also use Firefox so it doesn't bother me in the least, but I can see it be annoying for those poor people choosing to use IE.
Of course, I see the new IE7 has tabbed viewing ... maybe an upgrade is in order? |

I'm talking about the official patch. I think this was added in 6.0a. In the global options, go to the color scheme window, and the option I mentioned is listed at the bottom of the window.
