Are TCY Draft Files any good?

My new college life has got me more interested in TCY than I had been in the past, so I was thinking about reinstalling it and playing it again in conjuction with FOF2k7. But I haven't really imported drafts since FOF4. So I was wondering, for anyone who has imported drafts into 2k4 or 2k7, does it add anything to the game? Do the players translate well? Do the best players in TCY translate to the best players in the draft? Does it create a good level of talent? Is it worth it?

Thanks.

I haven't tried with 2k7 yet. With 2k4, there were a few issues, such as all TEs importing with 0 for Big Play Receiving, and we noticed a talent shift as well (more good players than the default drafts). My office league got a lot more interesting when we stopped using TCY imports.

They work okay, just not as well as game-generated drafts. But they do add to the immersion factor.

TCY draft files look about the same which makes sense considering that end hasn't yet changed. All the TE's still have 0 Big Play. I've used a few just messing around. They work fine.

One thing I'm interested in with TCY draft files is how they work with the new position experience charts. In other words, if a player never started, does he start with less experience at his position or is this basically random? I'm assuming the latter as lack of starting in college was never a problem with NFL success in 2K4.

TCY players have experience that shows up on the charts. I'm not sure that it corresponds to college playing time however. It may but I haven't seen enough seasons to say for sure.

I think I'll probably pass on using TCY drafts since the TE's don't have any big-play receiving.

I just started a 2k7 dynasty using TCY draft files. I hadn't realized that TEs had no Big-Play Receiving. I guess I'll keep at it and see how it goes.
