Thumbs up dollar for dollar sale at bookcloseouts.com

I've pimped bookcloseouts.com around here in the past and thought I would share this with everyone. They currently have a dollar for dollar kind of sale in which for every dollar you spend on a book at their regular price (think bargain bin price at Barnes and Noble or such a store, so anywhere between $3 to $10 for out of print hardcover books), you get to pick as much for free from a list of 15,000 selected books. You buy a $5 book, you can pick one listed at $5 from their selection. Even better, there's no limit, meaning you buy for $100, you get to pick for $100 of free books from their selection.

For a bargain shopper like me, that's gold. I get to buy a new, out of print book worth maybe $25 a piece for $5 a piece and I get to pick a second one, so that's $50 worth of books for $5. Not bad...

Among the interesting books available through the dollar-for-dollar sale:

and this was only among the football type of books

I often discover new authors in the legal novel sections and end up buying a few of there books later on. They also have calendars in the regular section that you can buy to "build up" some free money to spend...

Hoping this can be of use to someone...

Sweet! Thanks for the link. Hhow is their shipping? This might be a cheap and easy source of XMas presents for the girls...unless we won't get them until January.

they have a wharehouse in New York and one in Ontario (which is why I like that store so much, no custom fees) and their shipping is usually pretty cheap. Add a few books to your cart and then click on "checkout" and enter an address for shipping, the charge should appear at the bottom of the screen. I've never used anything more than their standard shipping and it usually gets to me within a week, despite them saying it's 1 to 4 weeks. As a comparison, I have loaded my cart with 33 books right now, maybe half of them would come free, for a total cost of a little under $100 (they say I would save about $620 ) and they say standard shipping would come to $16.

In past orders, for 8 books of so, it was like 5 or 6 bucks for shipping. Considering the cheap price of their books, the shipping is not bad...
