OMG screwed by food poisoning
Wow. I never saw this happen. I'm just about to play the bowl game after going 13-3 during the regular season. I'm looking at my roster and 7 players got food poisoning and they are out for 1 week! Doh!
Now I have to sign a bunch of players for the bowl. How crazy. Anyways, just thought I would share. |

You know what really sucks. If you win those 7 players with food poisoning will not get credit for a ring. Are they listed as Out? or Questionable?

Wow. I cant believe I won this game. Thier defense was better in every category, and my offense was barely better in some. I had 2 scrubs playing because of the food poisoning, albeit 1 was a kicker. I had so many people food poisoned I had to put some of them on IR since it was the last game of the year and I needed to sign some players.
I have an offense focused team. Thier QB had a rating of 116 during the regular season. I figured I would get crushed. Thier defense was supposed to be tops in the game. They just fell apart. Here are his stats from the bowl game. Talk about a choker in the bowl.
I still cant believe I won. ![]() |

They were listed as out and none of them got rings. 3 of them started every game of the year including the playoffs too. Sucks for them!! |

I had a similar situation recently where my backup running back went out with an injury early in the playoffs, and my primary went out in the conference final, leaving me down to my third guy who was terrible, I ended up signing a free agent who ran for 99 yards in our victory. I just would have loved to listen to those phone calls as we asked people, "Hey, interested in being our starting running back for the Super Bowl?"

I'm just curious, how good of an offensive line did you have? Also what injury setting do you guys have the game at. |

Why don't all players on the roster get credited with a ring? Seems like it would be simple to code in.

I had a pretty good o-line, so I was fairly sure anyone could have run decently behind it, but losing my all-star starter still hurt. I play at around 150-160 injury setting most of the time. |

Just in case anyone was curious, you can still get food poisoning with injuries set to 0. I've seen it happen.
