Need Advice

This game is great, provides lots of depth in stats, but I am struggling in what to do with the data. For instance, I am last in 3rd down conversions (28%), and am brutal in the red-zone and with penalties. Great info to know, but what can I do to improve in each situation? Is it personel related, game plan related, coach related, etc....

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks!

You can look at your backs and recievers to see if they have good 3rd down ratings. Also it could be that you are putting yourself in bad third down situations, maybe you are facing a lot of long 3rd down conversions? Are you giving up many sacks which would put you in long yardage situations? Maybe you could run more or use more short high percentage plays on 1st and 2nd down. Your coaches "Offensive Playcalling" skill may also be playing a part if it is low.

Some of the above may also be playing a part in your Red Zone offense also.

Penalties are possibly down to your coach's rating in discipline.

Interesting

I am in long 3rd down situations quite a bit. And yes, I have given up lots of sacks (50 in 13 games - second worst) so it is probably related to that.

My offensive coach playcalling is average, so I will need to improve there too.

Thanks for the assistance, I need as much as possible.

I actually drafted a RB who was terrible in just about everything except 3rd down rushing and 3rd down receiving. It's helped some on my third down situations and also spells my #1 RB a rest.

You might try switching your O-line around a bit, sometimes you can get better results by playing backups or people out of position if they have good experience in the position and aren't giving up a lot of sacks, that many sacks will definitely hurt you in the third down area. Also, as suggested, try to find a good third down running back if you don't have one.
