Question Depth Chart lock box.

I was under the impression the player lock funtionality on the depth charts were to over-ride when you have "coach resets depth charts prior to each game" checked. It obviously does'nt work this way....so what's it's purpose?

It's so when you hit recommend, it won't alter what you locked. I had the same thoughts and it doesn't work that way because if you locked players and the AI needed to do some rigamarole stuff, it couldn't and it would probably send the AI into a tizzy and freeze up.

Don't allow the AI to do your depth charts - lock the players you want, and then hit "recommend" on each of the depth chart screens. That's what I do and it only takes a min or two each week.

I agree with Miz, but I know that if you don't want to do it that advice won't help. Would be nice if there was a recommend all button instead of having to go into each button.

However, the more you are exposed to your team (even seeing their names fleetingly on the depth chart) the more you get to know them.
