NFL Week 14 Discussion
I keep looking, but all I see is the thread from last year. This has been a good afternoon so far. I just finished wrapping presents (which I hate doing) and the Eagles are crushing the Redskins. Garcia is making some very good throws and plenty of smart plays.

Maurice Jones-Drew so far against the Colts, 17 touches (counting kick returns), 285 yards, 3 TD.
Extrapolating from today's numbers, Jones-Drew will be the greatest player of all time.

Jaguars pushing 900 yards rushing against the Colts "run defense".
Colts = won't advance in playoffs with terrible run D despite 60-1 record |

Watching Jared Lorenzen warm up on the sidelines when Eli was injured for a brief moment, it looks like Lorenzen might be even more out of shape now than he was in college!
It looks like the guy from King of Queens is out there in a football uniform. I hate to be happy with any injury, but it would be very amusing to see the hefty howitzer out there for a little while. |

Vince Young does it again. Wins it with a 20+ yard scamper to the endzone in overtime.

Bummer that I don't get to watch the Chargers pummel the Broncos today. Another 49ers game, yippee.

Damn Niners. There sorry secondary and non-existent pass rush is costing what should be a win here at home.

Anyone else celebrate when LT scored the last touchdown? I'm not even a fan of the Chargers but I just love him as a player.
Great job.

Now thats dominance. Everyone in the stadium knew LT was getting the ball, and he still scored from 7 yards out. I'd much rather have him than Sanders, I don't care what anyone says.

I don't even know why the Eagles are trying.
Just hand the ball to AJ and go for the draft pick. Since Kearse went down the defense has been dreadful. The Eagles choked against the Giants,Saints, and Bucs and almost gave another one up against the Skins today. Does Arizona's win help Coach Green stay another year? Same thing for Coach Fisher in Tennessee. Does he come back next season as the Titan's head coach? How about the Patriots and Jets losing today? Didn't see them two happening. |

Wow! The Chargers just destroyed Denver. I am hoping they make it to the Super Bowl this year and actually win it this time. San Diego has no World Series or Super Bowl championship. I just hope this will finally be the year.

I've never seen a team's fans so happy to lose a game. Check out the postings on the Houston newspaper's forum after losing to the Titans.

Chargers vs Cowboys in The Big Game.
Does that work for you, Ant? I don't see them winning, though... ![]()

well it was a 20 point game and normally you'd be kneeling to run the clock out there, but...he is a great player. didn't do anything at all until the game was over in the 4th quarter, but denver always gives him problems. SD may well get the #1 seed, but with schottenheimer coaching I'd bet that the odds of them losing the first playoff game are 50/50. |

No way Fisher gets fired in Tennessee now. The only way he leaves is if he takes a job somewhere else, like the rumor of possibly replacing Parcells if he decides to retire.

Right....if the Cowboys even make it past the NFC Championship game. That's right, I give them the first playoff win.

They have to keep Fisher. He has done a hell of a job coaching to the player's strengths and has developed Vince Young very nicely. Much of the same way he was able to coach Steve McNair.

Catching up and just saw this comment. I posted almost the same thing in the Barry thread. It was amazing how easy he made that look when Denver had to know he was getting it. Like I said in the other thread, if LT can keep this up for 4 or 5 more years, he'll be my #1 rated back for all time. I do enjoy watching him. Like Barry, he seems very classy. |

Disagree. We signed Garcia for a reason, and that is to be able to win if McNabb went down. Garcia is playing well enough that I think the Playoffs are a possibility. If the Eagles make the playoffs, who know what could happen in the NFC. Especially with Seattle looking shaky today and Chicago having QB issues. |

That is amazing. I didn't realize there was that much hate for the Texans in Houston. Are there still people torn about the Oilers leaving and some of them converted to Texans fans? Is it because the Houston Texans chose a Defensive Lineman on their first pick? Or is it because people just generally hate the choices they have made and root against them. I was amazed to read all that. Even watching the game on TV, you can hear a lot of people rooting for Vince Young and his game winning run.

Watching the Sunday Night Game "live" without TIVO'ing through commercials, I just saw the rubber floor - Bud Light commerical. It was one of the better commercials that I've seen lately.

If we all chipped in and hired a hit man to kill John Mellencamp, wouldn't Chevy pretty much have to stop playing those goddam commercials?
