Safety Injuries

Has anyone else noticed that safeties are the most often injured position. It seems every year I carry 4 and get 2 injured and need to sign a free agent. It is much worse than any other position. They are also more likely to get Repetitive Concussion Syndrome.

Not in my experience. I've had the worse luck with linemen getting injured (offensive slightly more than defensive.)

I was thinking of starting a thread about this...in my experience, it's all DBs, not just safeties, that get injured the most often. I've started keeping 11 DBs because at any one time, at least 3 or 4 are usually injured. One year I had 7 guys questionable to out at one time.

I've always thought that DBs are injured at a higher rate than other positions.

In my experience it's always the stud I just signed to a big extension and gets knocked out for more than a year. Then he comes back a shell of a man.

I am on a quest to show that the Dolphins can win the Super Bowl. Or should I say Front Office Bowl, with FOF2K7.

I agree I currently (in week 13)have 4 safeties and 2 cbs out including 1 cb and 1 s on IR. part of the problem may bethat i tend to put players back in before they are fully ready because the backups are so poor (the db free agent barrell has been well and truesly scraped and there seems to be a very high re-injury rate

Another sign of this is that there are usually between 3 and 6 injured DBs in the free agency pile at any one time - far more than any other group of positions. I don't know if the DB injuries track real-life or not, but they feel disproportionate in the game.

My first season my starting and backup C went down with season ending injuries. I converted a G into a C and he went down as well (for a few games). I signed a FA C and he got injured too, but was able to still play.
