How to become commissioner?

This option is constantly red for me. I can not figure out how to make it clickable.

Thanks for the advice.

Create a new multiplayer league, or acquire the commissioner password for a league you are in (unlikely unless you are actually being handed the commissioner reigns).

I'm creating new multiplayer leagues, but I'm still unable to click on the commissioner functions option. It's still red, even though I know the password.

Did you open the new league as commissioner? Can you post a screen shot?

I think I just figured it out. Those red items are just headers. However, in the rest of the game when things are red it means they aren't available yet.

Strange, but I understand now.

So how do you prevent the entire league from having the password to the commissioner settings?

You don't give it to them. The guy who created the league is the only one who has the passwords. You'll want to save those passwords somewhere safe, because if the commissioner data file gets lost, that's you're only way back in.

Don't send out files with the extension .fmk, .fmm, or .fpn.

Only send out the files in the export folder each time and you won't have to worry about it. Don't copy and send out the files from your leagues folder at any time, unless a new owner needs old game logs and/or old season statistics. Those files you might have to copy out of your league folder and they all end with a year as the extension. Example: .2006
