Our resident shrink has agreed to be the one answering the questions. We get a nice trio of questions from Frogman to kick us off

Again, with regards to your job, how hard is it to deal with tough/depressing cases and what do you do to take your mind off one?

Do you speak/understand a second language? If so, which one and how did you pick it up?

TO: wonderfully gifted athlete or absolute nutcase?

Question period runs through Saturday.

What is you favorite form of entertainment that has nothing to do with sports?

What's your take on the old psychologist vs. psychiatrist debate?

You are a big USC fan and a big Eagles fan, and you found yourself in Louisiana (for a time) - fill us in on your history of where you've lived and why.

Go back in time a few years, try to erase what's happened and recall your initial impressions of USC hiring Pete Carroll - how you felt about it, what you expected out of him and how it compared to how you felt about previous hires.

I'm going to have more but one that I'm afraid I'll forget:

Did you enter med school with the intention of becoming a psychiatrist or did you find it along the way?

If you were attacked by someone wielding a knife would it be better to have them strike at you once and try to grab their arm pulling it in towards you in a "lock" type move potentially risking one stab wound but being able to then control their straightened arm....

or fight a wild type fight risking much more wounds but perhaps more superficial in nature....

was thinking about that last night while trying to stumble my way through my darkened overcrowded garage in an attempt to find a light switch.

Do you struggle with liability issues when you post here as the "expert opinion"?

Edit: That doesn't sound right. What I'm trying to get at is do you hold your tongue or not when you're posting as a doctor and do you struggle with that balance?

Would you agree with me that IMTG has serious psychological issues and more than likely needs to be heavily medicated?

What's your favorite meal?

How have you balanced family life with what appears to be a very demanding profession both in terms of time and emotional energy?

Where do you see yourself in 10 years, both professionally and geographically?

Were you wearing your Eagles gear proudly the week before the playoff game, or did you keep it in the closet so as to not to be shot by random people on the street?

I think I remember you mentioning once that your wife is a chef. If so, is that the coolest thing ever, or is it pretty much all frozen TV dinners at the EaglesFan27 household because "I have to cook all day at work?"

Let it be known that the comments of IMetTrentGreen and the associated pictures posted in no way reflect the views of Trent Green or the citizens of KC as a whole.

The only thing I could come up with was the connection between TO and Sharpie. But (a) it wasn't a question; and (b) the actual picture was offensive and overshadowed whatever stupid joke/point IMTG was trying to make.

I'm sure you aren't the only one that wants to know. It was a picture of 2 females who appeared to be Hispanic and appeared to have drawn on eyebrows and the caption said something to the effect of keep sharpies away from Mexicans. I didn't get the joke and found it to be racist and inappropriate.

I've been a closet Eagles fan this whole year (my old boss was an Eagles fan), something I've only shared with him until now.

What's your opinion of Omar Gaither?

What are some of the biggest differences between living in New Jersey and living in Louisiana?

Does anyone down there know how to make a somewhat decent cheesesteak? Chicken cheese steak? Pizza steak?

What's the thing you miss the most about living in New Jersey? What's the thing you don't miss at all?

People oftan get critical of coaches who get their team to the playoffs consistantly but never win a Super Bowl. Do you think Andy Reid deserves criticism for only getting the Eagles to the Super Bowl once, and losing it, in many playoff appearences over the last several years? Do you think Andy Reid will win a Super Bowl for the Eagles?

On the same note, McNabb has developed a reputation for underperforming in big games. Do you think he is the QB that will get the Eagles a Super Bowl win, or do you think it's time for the Eagles to atleast start looking at the possibility of replaceing him?

I used to know someone who was a psych major in grad school and met a lot of her fellow students. And some of them, to put in bluntly, were really dumb and pretty messed up. Were there any people who made it through grad school with you that made you worried that they were going to do more harm to people than good? Or do you think that all of those people are eventually weeded out of the system by the time you get through grad school?

1.) Great question by Cam.

2.) A FTB Thread gets jbmagic boxed. I wonder who had that in the pool. They probably got pretty good odds.

Damn, I was just looking at this thread about 2 minutes before jbmagic posted, and then I missed what he had to say. If it wasn't incredibly rude (like whatever IMTG posted), I'm sure it must've had some comedy value.

Anyway, my questions for my good buddy EaglesFan27: Do you ever visit New Orleans just for fun these days? Also, were you ever the type of person who goes to Mardi Gras parades? If so, which parade was your favorite?

Let's wait a few more weeks before we have him on FTB. We'll need to build up a big enough pool of answers for him to fucking cut-and-paste from.

I'm figuring Vegas had the over/under on boxings in an EF27 FTB thread to be 0.

Oh--what's the latest medical thinking on all those "Baby Einstein" type videos? I heard something about them giving kids ADD, but parents love them because they play classical music in the background and keep their kids glued to the TV.
