AI and lack of use of timeouts on D
I've noticed (I'm very new, 4 games into my first season), that the AI is pretty bad in terms of timeout usage on defense during the two minute drill.
I made it into FG range (19-yard line) with 2:35 left in a tie game. The Redskins let me run the clock down to where I kicked FG with 42 seconds left and they got the ball back with 27 seconds left without using a single time out on defense. I managed to run 6 plays during that time. With 1:47 left and me on the 16, I threw a 14-yard pass to the 2-yard line. At this point the D has to stop the clock, but they let it run all the way down to 59 seconds. Is this normal, was it an aberration, etc.? |
