Smile We turned a profit! w00t!

The company I work for, Sun Microsystems, finally turned a quarterly profit in who-knows-how-long this quarter (our Q2)! Damn, it's been a long time since we could say that. Despite the poor bottom-line, we've continued to invest heavily in R&D, and it's beginning to pay off.

Not that it's going to help my $187.50 stock options, but....

We work on a lot of Sun equipment, so that's great news.

i own stock in Intel and plan on riding this bottom out until April so hopefully your news and the new partnership will help me out a tad.

I sold off most of my Sun stock earlier this month. It had been stuck in the $5 to $5.50 range for a long time. Bad timing on my part.

A merger between those companies would be a major pain in the ass for customers, so I really hope they do not, or are not allowed to.

Wow I was going to complain about some of my stock options at Time Warner, but yours are even worse!

I think the Intel deal is bigger news for Sun than it is for Intel. Good for both, but more so for Sun. Although I'm impressed at how Otellini has managed to sell Intel to two previously anti-Intel platforms now.

The company I work for just pulled a couple hundred tons of coal out of our mine near Punxsutawney. We're going to dump that shit on the groundhog just for kicks.

This man would applaud your effort:

The company I work for can help your company dump that coal on the groundhog more efficiently and measure how much it causes kicks to increase.
