To Shovel or not?

So yeah, for the first time since buying this house in october, I'm actually forced with actually having to Shovel this driveway. Damned snow. To think that 2 weeks or so ago, I was actually contemplating mowing the grass, as it was still uncovered with snow

I dunno whether to go do it now, or wait and see if it's going to keep snowing all day(and possibly *gasp* having do it again)and do it later. The conundrum of it all.

Wait until the snow ends, unless you absolutely cannot get by without doing so.

I prefer to shovel a few times, keeping up with it as it snows. makes it easier.

I know you're not exactly in the same area as I am, but if what I'm seeing outside is any indication, I would wait until tomorrow. At least in Westmoreland County, they're expecting another inch of snow today. If you get to it tomorrow morning, it'll be clear for when the next three inches get dumped on the area tomorrow.

I don't shovel snow unless it's so high that I can't get my truck out of the driveway.

That's only happened once in the last five years.

I live in a corner house. There's a lot of sidewalk that I need to shovel. It sucks. Luckily my driveway is like 10 feet long, so that's a bonus. I shovelled last night. There was about 2 inches or so of snow.

Its easier to do it a couple times with less on the ground than to wait for it to stop snowing, especially if you are getting a lot (5or 6+ inches).

It really depends on the state of your back and how likely you are to need to leave the house. My back is pretty crappy so I have to shovel often or risk not being able to walk for a few hours. Also, shovel before you drive over it since it is much easier to get the snow off that way.

Wait...do you mean your walkway, or do you actually have to shovel the sidewalk, which is property you don't own? If that's the case, I would move before you start shoveling.

Or buy one. My snowblower has made taking care of our driveway a fun time.

Most areas you have to shovel the sidewalk, and even if you don't you should anyway.
