FOF4: question

I know some of you have had your team hit with the influenza bug on the injury list. My question is did you play those players or sit them. I have 11 players either questionable for 1 or 2 weeks with the flu including my kicker. Will it hurt them to play? Thanks in advance.

Does anyone have a suggestion to my problem?

Hmm...I've seen it happen to some of my opponents, but haven't actually had it happen to my team yet. I've seen the flu bug make 8 players "out" for that week. What I would do is treat it like a minor sprain or pulled muscle or something like that. Go ahead and play them I say. Unlike serious injuries, the flu will pass over time so you don't have to worry about playing them and making the injury worse. It means that they will have reduced performance, so you may want to sit them for that reason (if you have a solid bench/play a weak opponent/ think you can do without), but my advice would be to go ahead and play them.

Thanks. I really don't have a choice as I am playing a 4-1 team and I need a win. I just wasn't sure if it would like turn into neumonia or something.

Give 'em all a flu shot beforehand so it wont happen Seriously though, it doesnt affect them too much as long as they aren't overworked. I wonder if their risk of an injury increases if they have the flu. It seems like once a player is hurt, then his chances of getting reinjured are greatly increased. It would be interesting to see if this applies for illnesses as well. Just pondering...

I think it effects their endurance. I noticed players suffering from the flu seem to wear down alot faster. Maybe the effect of the flu is that players endurance rating drops to say 10 or so. Just a thought.
