My Job Hunt Update...(A whole new world for MacroGuru)
Well,
If you read the Cringer Job Angst thread and my Dream Job no more thread I am providing a brief update on where I am going with my life now. I am in the process of getting ready to start my own company, a non profit org, that will almost do exactly what I did with my dream job, but take a slightly different spin on it. I am finalizing the business plan this week, and my business partner and I have several grants lined up, plus phone calls have been made to some of the companies I have dealt with in the past. Fingers crossed, asking for positive prayers and vibes and such. I am going out there to do something I truly love, and I hope to make a some sort of impact to some of the lower income high school kids out there. Once the company is successfully launched, I will provide details of the business to the board.

Good luck with the project! I do want to caution you that it can be quite difficult to land grants, especially if you aren't matching grant contributions with organizational funds. If you're relying on grant funding for a significant portion of your finances, you'll have an even harder time. I'd make sure that I looked for private donors and such to supplement your finances. |

I am definately looking at all realms, for the idea, private donors are definately a bulk of the funding we are wanting because it will benefit them more, to have their name out there assisting the growth of the future.
