Position Switch Advice Needed

Ok, I just draft an excellent RDT in the first round. The thing is he 6'0'' and 299 lbs. I simply want to switch him to LDT (or maybe to NT if I later decide to try the 3-4). Unfortunately, when I start the position switch I am told:

1. His weight is average for both the current and proposed position
2. His height is significantly below average for the current and proposed position
3. This player may be a bit short for success at the new position

The next box then says however that he can make the switch without any change in player ratings and he will have roughly the same experience at the new position.

So, I am totally petrified to try just the simple switch to even LDT. In 2K4, I would have no problem making this switch, but now the new info about being too short for success has me thinking I should just leave him at RDT.

Any advice on this? Has anyone had experience with the "too short for success" message? Or am I just fooling myself in that the "too short for success" modifier will already be applied to him even if he stays at RDT and this is just Jim's way of letting us know.

His height shouldn't be a "big", hehe, problem. And, definately no big deal to switch positions. If he's too short for LDT, he's too short for his current pos. too - so that won't matter.

I have never seen a "too short" message. Honestly, what would the difference be between RDT and LDT? Nothing. I say make the switch and not worry about it.

I get the message sometimes - I play a lot of singleplayer and am always switching LDT or RDT to NT.

Go ahead and make the switch. You're going to end up with the same potential - perhaps a loss of experience, and if he's too short for success at one he'll be too short for success anyway.

I think. *runs and hides behind Stephen Gostkowski*

He's significantly short for BOTH positions. FOF generates guys that are outside of the standard height/weight for their positions.
