AI won't trade for ANYTHING

Yikes.

I currently hold the #6 pick in this season's draft and I desperately want to get into the top 2 to pick one of two awesome RBs coming out. I have offered so many combinations of trades to get the #2 and the computer refuses everything. They need a LB, so I trade my best one, my first rounder and next year's first rounder... and they don't want to pay his salary. I try to trade them a cheaper guy and throw in my third round pick... they don't like his talent. Any ideas on what the heck I can do?

P.S. They also won't trade just draft picks without adding value, even if I give up my entire draft.

Landing a top 2, usually 3, pick is a nightmare. Even with a top 10 to use a starting bait. You're likely going to have to sell your current #6, as well as your next 2 firsts to get close. You may have to toss in a couple 2nds as well. (Hershell Walker style) Usually never worth it.

search for a draft value chart on google. It will give you a feel for what draft picks to give up. According to the one on the redzone.com the #2 pick is worth 2,600 points the #6 is worth 1,600 points. You will need to make up 1,000 points of value. Your second round picks is worth 520 points. You might want to try your #1, #2, and #2 next year.

I would avoid players, they just don't happen that often in the NFL.

I've gotten the #1 pick before by trading an above average player and my next 3 year's first round picks. It's sort of a Ricky Williams type of deal, but I don't usually care because I'm generally picking towards the very end of the 1st round anyways, and it's worth it to get a sure thing.

Every time I need a new HOF QB I do this. Sure, I sacrifice some future 1st rounders, but 3 mid to late 1st rounders do not win me as many games as a HOF QB.

I think the computer has always been willing to deal if I give them a fair value by according to the draft chart. Haven't had luck throwing in players though.

Well, I had to give up my first rounder (#6), my third and fourth this year and next year's first as well as a young QB prospect (never would've been more than a back up for me) to get the #2 overall pick and...

I'm pretty happy with it... at least until next year when I have to sit out the whole first round.

That's an awful lot to give up for a guy who sucks at kick returns.

Those are some serious red bars there! I heard he doesn't play hard to win though.

The young Mr. Denson racked up 1300+ yards on his way to OROY and helped us make it to the Front Office Bowl... where we lost. So that future first rounder was #31. Take that, Chicago!
