Why haven't these bums had me on yet? They must be saving me for the finale!

We watched the first episode (auditions) and it was OK. Standard, AI-like stuff. Then the playoffs interfered, we missed a few episodes, and aside from seeing a 2 minute recap of the performances at the end of the show a couple of weeks ago (which were, even by reality TV standards, frighteningly bad for a production of this magnitude), we haven't been interested in watching again.

I thought he was abducted by space aliens and tossed into a volcano, or something like that.

My wife watches this show so I've seen a bit of it by being on the laptop in the room at the time. It seemed like typical reality show performance stuff, so I didn't care one way or the other.
Then... a couple of weeks ago, my wife and I went and saw Phantom of the Opera in Las Vegas. Now I'm totally disgusted by this show and find it an insult to the people who have real Broadway talent. These jokers do not deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Broadway performers. It strikes me as high school production all the way. |

It seems it doesn't matter who America votes for, its whoever the judges want:

From what I heard of their performances a couple of weeks back, they have their hands full of candidates.
