Teams Identified by City

Please can a future version of FOF not identify teams by the city in which they are based. K thnx.

Ok, the long version the system as currently is plays merry hell with teams that are based in the same city. Game logs, the draft chart, transaction logs and player stats all become something of a guessing game because the team identifier is the same.

Of course the way to get around this (if you start a new game) is to have the teams based in two cities very close together and then change the name of one of the cities, so the name is the same. But, of course, this isn't actually the same city and the demographics will change etc etc.

Add a new feature of 2007 whereby the ingame logos are now also city based and it's an extremely unhappy state of affairs for those of us stuck in a system whereby we are in the same city and in which no-one can move for another 10 years or so. (the time it will take to be able to start to something with the stadium, (hopefully) get turned down and apply to another city (and hopefully get accepted).

Yes it's a silly mistake that was made when setting up the league (we're talking about HFL here incidentally) but as teams are already internally identified by numbers 0-31 I don't see why the team abbreviations and city logos can't be linked to those internal numbers rather than to a city. Surely that's the more logical way to go about things (from the little I remember of database theory).
