NBA All Star Game 2k7
Because some of us have nothing better to do on a Sunday Night.
The Governator and Skelator are in attendance, and the guy singing the national anthem looks like the 2nd coming of Wayne Newton. |

Wayne Newton scares me.
But not as much as Arnold. Apparently I haven't seen him in awhile. Jesus, how much work has he had done? |

what a sloppy, unpassionate, and totally lacking fundamentals game, even for the NBA...
This is damn near unwatchable |

I am not watching it and am not surprised. IS it the usual dribble up the court, pull up and take a shot. Repeat.

I stopped watching just before half time. Kobe had some impressive baskets, but yeah, these things always turn in to a yawn-fest. They need to find someway to make these things entertaining and competitive.

I personally think basketball at its best is the most beautifully played game in the world. And I'm a fan of the NBA and watch it while I can.
If I were offered free tickets to this game, I'd pass.

The slam dunk thing last night was surprisingly entertaining. I hadn't watched in 10 years, and the whole thing had a whole new energy to it with props, creativity, and using teamates to set stuff up.

The best thing about the all-star weekend has always been that now once the games start up again, it's the "real" season. We'll see the usual hot and cold streaks from teams now, and each game now begins to mean something. Hell, even Hawks/Celtics/Grizz &, thanks to the Knicks, Chicago can feel like each game gone is one game closer to Oden or that kid from Texas.

The best thing for me was that none of the Heat players involved were hurt. And I would really like to see both Oden and Durant stay around one more year. It would be interesting to see the moves teams would make without either one of those players to pick. It seems automatic that they go 1-2. If they don't come out, who would be the top pick?

Hell, I'd love to see Oden and Durant stay in college for 3 more years, then step in as rookies and score 20-25ppg like in the good old days. If one of them doesn't declare for whatever reason - as unlikey as that would be - nbadraft.net lists the following draft order, minus those two: Brandan Wright, UNC Joakim Noah, Florida Julian Wright, Kansas Al Hortford, Florida Yi Jianlian, China Chase Budinger, Arizona Hasheem Thabeet, UConn Jeff Green, Florida State Out of those 8 players, 3 are freshmen, 1 is a sophomore, 3 are juniors, and 1 is a foreign player. No doubt the order will change closer to draft day, but really, that's quite a drop off in talent. And it's no sure bet that Joakim Noah will enter the draft. I hope whatever team you follow isn't looking for a PG this draft either. Looks like one of the weakest PG drafts in a long time. Teams are going to regret letting Marcus Williams fall to the Nets this past draft. As usual the real draft winners will be the guys picking later in the 1st round, who have the chance to grab some of the juniors and seniors that always slide in to that range and are able to contribute with minutes from day 1 (Carney, Brewer, Marcus Williams from this past draft, and Joey Graham, Danny Granger, Hakim Warrick, Jarrett Jack, Luther Head, and David Lee from the year before).

I have enjoyed seeing Lebron play the last 3 years, but it would have been amazing if we were able to see him and Carmelo battle it out in college 2-3 times for the title. As basketball fans we were robbed of that.
