How much is it worth?
I have a baseball signed in spring training by all of the 1969 Mets. The signatures are of all of the players and coaches, and also manager Gil Hodges. Does anyone know where I can find out what it would be worth and where I could sell it? I thought of e-bay, but I am probably the only person in America who has not ever been there and since I really am not sure of the value I am a little hesitant to go that route. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I know there's sports autograph authentication services that use lasers or something to authenticate autographs. I have no idea how much they cost, but I would think any serious buyer would require it.
And I'd probably hold onto it until more members of the team are dead, or at least until 2009 (40 year anniversary). |

I'd say you would have to knock a couple hundred off that price if you're going the ebay route.

If you are honestly going to sell it, I would find a reputable source to authenticate it and I'd put it up for auction potentially in something centered around sports memorabilia. I wouldn't go the Ebay route. Traditionally, auctions that are live will get you more $$$ especially on autographs just because there is alot of crap out there in the autograph industry and people just won't pay alot site unseen...

I had a ball signed by the '68 Tigers that my father's wife gave me when I was a kid. I gave it to a friend after he died (and I wanted nothing to remind me of her.)
I'll probably kick myself if I find out the value of it... but it did have moisture damage that caused the ink to "cloud" a bit, so that's a plus for me! |

I have what I think is a 71 pirates signed ball with Clemente. I'm guessing it would be worthwhile to authenticate as well?

Can I buy the $600 ball and sell it to the $6,000 ball people?
